მელიორაციის სექტორი უკვე 2 წელია სემეკის რეგულირების ქვეშაა. ჯერ კიდევ 2023 წელს დამტკიცდა საირიგაციო წყლის მიწოდების წესები, გასულ წელს კი მელიორაციის კომპანიის მიერ პირველად გამოქვეყნდა წყლის მიწოდების რეჟიმები. დამტკიცებულია „საქართველოს მელიორაციის“ აღრიცხვის სისტემის გამრიცხველიანების გეგმა, რომლის ფარგლებში აღირიცხება როგორც არაპირდაპირი, ისე პირდაპირი მომხმარებლების მიერ მოხმარებული წყლის რესურსი, რომელიც შემდგომ საფუძვლად დაედება მელიორაციის სექტორში ახალ სატარიფო გაანგარიშებას.დღეს მოქმედი ტარიფები ირიგაციაში მხოლოდ ფერმერებისთვისაა განსაზღვრული. მიუხედავად იმისა თუ რამდენს მოიხმარს ცალკეული ფერმერი, ის ფიქსირებულად 75 ლარს იხდის.
