მუსლიმური სამყარო რამადან ბაირამს ზეიმობს. დღესასწაული, ტრადიციულად, წელიწადში ერთხელ, რამადანის ერთთვიანი მძიმე მარხვის შემდეგ აღინიშნება. სადღესასწაულო ლოცვა ბათუმის ცენტრალურ მეჩეთში ქართველმა მუსლიმებმა აღავლინეს. მარხვის პერიოდში ერთი თვის განმავლობაში მორწმუნეები მზის ამოსვლიდან მზის ჩასვლამდე უარს ამბობენ ყოველგვარი საკვებისა და სასმელის მიღებაზე, ბაირამის დღეს კი, ისინი ერთმანეთს ტკბილეულით უმასპინძლდებიან, გასცემენ მოწყალებას და მოინახულებენ წინაპართა საფლავებს. ქართველ მუსლიმებს დღესასწაული ბათუმის მეჩეთში აჭარის მთავრობის თავმჯდომარემ, თორნიკე რიჟვაძემ და მთავრობის სხვა წარმომადგენლებმა მიულოცეს.
