რუსული სახანძრო თვითმფრინავი Be-200, რომელიც თურქეთმა ქვეყანაში ხანძრების ჩასაქრობად დაიქირავა, ჩამოვარდა. ავიაკატასტროფის შედეგად დაიღუპა ბორტზე მყოფი 8 ადამიანი: 5 რუსი სამხედრო და სამი თურქი სპეციალისტი.
გავრცელებული ინფორმაციის თანახმად, წყლის ავზის ავსების შემდეგ თვითმფრინავმა ვერ შესძლო სათანადო სიმაღლის აკრეფა და კლდეებს შეეჯახა.
