ხშირია შემთხვევა, როცა მეხანძრე-მაშველები ზიანდებიან და სიცოცხლეს სწირავენ, მინდა, შევთხოვო უფალს, დაგეხმაროთ, – ამის შესახებ საქართველოს კათოლიკოს-პატრიარქმა ილია მეორემ სამების საკათედრო ტაძარში საკვირაო ქადაგებისას განაცხადა.
ილია მეორემ დღეს მეხანძრე-მაშველები დალოცა და მათ საჩუქრად წმინდა გიორგის ხატები გადასცა.
წირვას საქართველოს სხვადასხვა რეგიონიდან ჩამოსული 700 მეხანძრე-მაშველი ესწრებოდა.
უწმინდესმა ქადაგებისას განსაცდელზე და გაჭირვებაზე ისაუბრა და განაცხადა, რომ მომავლის იმედი არასდროს უნდა დავკარგოთ.
