ვახტანგ გზირიშვილის ხსოვნისადმი მიძღვნილი ტურნირი კალათბურთში დასრულდა
რუსთავის მე-7 საჯარო სკოლაში აგვისტოს ომში დაღუპული ვახტანგ გზირიშვილის სახელობის კალათბურთის ტურნირის ფინალური მატჩი გაიმართა. სპორტულ შეჯიბრში ერთმანეთს ამავე სკოლის მე-12ა და მე-12ბ კლასის გუნდები დაუპირისპირდნენ.
აგვისტოს ომში დაღუპული ვახტანგ გზირიშვილის ხსოვნისადმი მიძღვნილ ტურნირს სახმელეთო ჯარების აღმოსავლეთ სარდალი, პოლკოვნიკი ალექსანდრე კიკნაძე, რუსთავის მერი ირაკლი ტაბაღუა, ქვემო ქართლის გუბერნატორი შოთა რეხვიაშვილი და ვახტანგ გზირიშვილის დედა, მარინა გზირიშვილი დაესწრნენ.
ფინალურ მატჩში გამარჯვება მე-12ა კლასმა მოიპოვა და ვახტანგ გზირიშვილის სახელობის გარდამავალი თასი საქართველოს ტერიტორიული მთლიანობისთვის ბრძოლაში დაღუპული სამხედროს დედამ, მარინა გზირიშვილმა პირადად გადასცა. ასევე გამოვლინდნენ საუკეთესო მოთამაშეები, რომლებსაც სიგელები გადაეცათ. ტურნირში მონაწილე გუნდების კაპიტნები კი, მედლებით დაჯილდოვდნენ.
ტურნირზე მე-2 კლასის მოსწავლეებმა ომში დაღუპული ჯარისკაცები მათი გმირული ისტორიებით გაიხსენეს.
ვახტანგ გზირიშვილის მშობლიურ სკოლაში მისი სახელობის ტურნირი კალათბურთში 2008 წლის აგვისტოს ომის შემდეგ ყოველ წელს იმართება.
