ლოს-ანჯელესში, ამერიკის კინოაკადემიის უმაღლესი ჯილდოს, "ოსკარის" რიგით 87-ე დაჯილდოების ცერემონიაზე საუკეთესო უცხოენოვანი ფილმის ნომინაციაში პოლონურმა ფილმმა "იდამ" გაიმარჯვა.
შესაბამისად, ქართველი რეჟისორის, ზაზა ურუშაძის "მანდარინები" "ოსკარის" გარეშე დარჩა. "მანდარინები" ესტონეთ-საქართველოს ერთობლივი ნამუშევარია.
საუკეთესო უცხოენოვან ფილმებს შორის, "მანდარინების" გარდა, "ოსკარზე" წარდგენილი იყო - რუსული ფილმი "ლევიათანი", პოლონური "იდა", მავრიტანიული "ტიმბუქტუ" და არგენტინული "ველური ისტორიები".
