“Sometimes I feel like Shakespeare saved my life” - says Lisa Wolpe, theatre artist, actor and activist in her solo performance, "Shakespeare and the Alchemy of Gender". Lisa Wolpe, who is the founder of Los Angeles Women's Shakespeare Company, toured Prague in November 2016 and sat down with RFE/RL's Salome Asatiani to discuss issues ranging from cross-gender explorations to Shakespeare's undying relevance, as well as the many poignant intersections between Shakespeare and her own, personal and, at times, very tragic story.
