While in Austria recently for his honeymoon, Chicago Cubs superstar Kris Bryant visited the motorsports mecca known as the Red Bull Ring. He took the wheel of a Nissan 370z on a slick 40-degree day and hit a top speed of 111 mph. He also went through drift training, getting the car around the curve as sideways as possible. To cap off the day, Bryant rode shotgun in the KTM X-Bow, an ultra-light sports car built for road and race use. In a race circuit simulation, the powerful vehicle reached 125 mph.
“My heart was beating a little fast, but super fun,” said Bryant. “I always wanted to get on the track and see how fast I can go.”
